WPT Montreal: Rosenbarger Defeats Pahuja for Title

Over 800 players entered the halls of the Playground Poker Club last Friday and a New Mexico man came out victorious at WPT Montreal…

AIR FORCE WON

US Air Force pilot Derrick Rosenbarger (GPI#19395) outlasted the massive 862-player field to take down his first major poker title, winning the partypoker WPT Montreal Main Event and cashing in for over 500K.

Ludovic Lacay GPISome of the biggest names in poker were in Montreal trying to win the WPT title including Antonio Esfandiari, Vanessa Selbst, Ludovic Lacay, Bryn Kenney, Jonathan Duhamel, Marvin Rettenmaier and defending champ Jonathan Roy.

PAHUJA COMES OH SO CLOSE

Most pros were pulling for Mukul Pahuja (GPI#310) at the final table. Pahuja, who recently dropped out of the GPI300, will surely find his way back in next week following a tremendous final table performance. Pahuja dominated at the FT and although he won’t be satisfied with his second place result, we’re certain that once he gets over the loss, he will certainly be happy with the way he played.
