It’s the jewel in PokerStars’ European crown and this year a bumper schedule of 50 EPT events will mark the conclusion of the EPT’s ninth season.

The packed festival. which takes place between Ma6 6 and 15, will offer players a wide range of tournaments to participate in, including the €10,600 Main Event, a €100,000 Super High Roller and a €2,150 Open Face Chinese event.

On top of the MTT action there will be daily EPT-run cash games for the first time in the Grand Final’s history.

Last season Mohsin Charania parlayed a $33 rebuy satellite entry into a €1,350,000 payday when he prevented Lucille Cailly becoming the first female EPT Grand Final winner.

Suspect Casino Robbers Arrested

Two British males have been detained by police after stealing chips from outside Newcastle’s Grosvenor Casino.

The two masked men threatened a security guard then stole the money contained within his van on February 21.

After bundling their haul into the back of an Audi Q5 the pair made their getaway before burning out the car.

However, following a lengthy police investigation, two men have been arrested in connection with the theft.

At this point the police have declined to reveal the perpetrators names and casino bosses are not divulging how much was stolen.

Police are, however, appealing for witnesses and any further information which could help convict the two men arrested.

Anyone in the local area at the time with information can anonymously text Northumbria police on: 07786200814.
