EVERY GIRLS’ CRAZY ‘BOUT A SHARPED DRESSED MAN

Shannon Shorr GPIWe already know that Shannon Shorr’s inclusion amongst the past decade’s best is going to be a shocker … but something needs to be said for consistency, and Shorr is exact proof that you don’t need to win majors to be ranked amongst poker’s elite on the Global Poker Index.

Despite no wins on any of the three majors tours, the sharply dressed Shorr has consistently put up totals ever since his arrival on the live tournament circuit back in 2006 … two years after GPI Player of the Decade statistics began to be tabulated. Shorr, who joined us for a GPInterview following his GPI Player of the Month nomination in October, is a threat in any event he plays. Shorr isn’t only ranked #7 on the Player of the Decade charts, he currently ranks #7 on the GPI300 and is a big win away from rivalling the top players on the 300.

SHORR’S HIGHLIGHT REEL

Shannon Shorr GPIShorr has earned double-digit cashes in six of the eight years he has been on tour; with at least 18 cashes in three of those six seasons. 46 of Shorr’s career cashes have qualified for GPI points and he has earned well over 5M USD on the live tournament circuit.

Surprisingly, Shorr has never earned a seven-figure score on the circuit, his best score came in 2006 at the Bellagio Cup II where he collected over 960K USD for his win in the Main Event. Earlier in the same series, Shorr would earn over 126K USD, winning a 1K side event.

Shorr has earned several Top 10 finishes at the WSOP, most recently final tabling the Main Event at WSOP Europe this past October. Shorr has also reached the final table twice on the World Poker Tour, including a 5th place finish at the WPT World Championship in Season VII.
