WPTN Brussels: Final Table Set

FPM logoThe final table is set at the first ever World Poker Tour National Series Brussels event at the Grand Casino Brussels Visage.  The final eight players will return on Monday to play down to a winner in Belgium!

And while several big name pros cashed in Brussels, it’s a bunch of relatively unknown players – at least on the live tournament circuit – who will battle it out for Belgium’s first ever WPT National Championship.

Let’s first take a look at the four players I had featured prior to the start of Day 2 play at Win2Day WPT National Series Brussels:
Note: chip stacks are approx. as reported by Poker52 and BelgiumPoker

Davidi Kitai Eliminated on Day 2 (read article)
Timothy Reilly Eliminated on Day 2 (read article)
Koen De Visscher: Finished 29th, 30 FPM Points (read article)
Benjamin Pollak: Finished 20th, 34 FPM Points (read article)

And now a look at my own official team for WPTN Brussels, which includes Kitai, Reilly, De Visscher and Pollak:

Koen De Visscher FPMTEAM DANIS (Player, Day 3 chip count)
Christophe Pereira: Finshed 9th, Points TBA
Benjamin Pollak: Finished 20th, 34 FPM Points
Koen De Visscher: Finished 29th, 30 FPM Points
Alain Roy Finished 43rd, 26 FPM Points
Flavien Guenan Finished 47th, 25 FPM Points
Davidi Kitai Eliminated on Day 2
Timothy Reilly Eliminated on Day 2
Brian Benhamou Eliminated on Day 2
Michel Abecassis Eliminated on Day 2

The good news is that five of my nine players scored points in the event.  The bad news is that none of them made it to the final table.  Amazingly enough, Kris Pereira (GPI: 918) enjoyed the deepest run after starting the day with a bottom stack, he was able to chip it up, way up, only to finish on the FT bubble.  Koen De Visscher (GPI: 256) and Benjamin Pollak (GPI: 1093) both seemed in good positions for a deep run on Sunday.  Sadly they were both gone by the time the final 20 players were known.

Back to the Final Table…
Back to the final eight players who will enter the Grand Casino in Brussels on Monday in hopes of collecting their first major victory on the live tournament circuit.

Jérome Dumayet will be the chip leader when final table begins.  Dumayet, who is a known online player in France under the alias “AllezVaKanMeme”, enjoyed his top tournament performance back in November of 2011 where he collected € 38,500 for his second place finish in the Cadet Digital 1.0 event in Paris.

Other than Dumayet, Bo Erichsen, Didier Cicurel (who’s resume includes a side event victory in a APT Manilla Six-Max event) and Mohamed Razab are a few names you may have heard in the past so it’s obvious that a possible life-changing moment awaits the winner of WPTN Brussels.

The stage is set, WPTN Brussels is ready to go!  You can watch the final table live stream (on a 30-minute delay) over at:
